‘Love is in the air, everywhere I look around’… The John Paul young hit, will always be in my head when I think of valentines day! And once it’s in I can never get it out! Believe it or not valentines day is just around the corner! Yes peeps, It may seem like we all have only just finished buying holiday gifts. – Which we basically did! Yet it is time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day, and what we’re going to give to our significant others. Maybe a friend, family members or pet —or whomever you care to give a little token to on February 14.

We are all well aware by now many of the gift categories we used to rely on, may no longer be an option. Those concert tickets, dinner reservations to a boujee restaurant or that min break away etc. Won’t be particularly be useful in the current situ. However, don’t panic plenty of other things will be. Here at Thehomeslogg I have found a few considerations for your Valentine’s Day gifting ideas this year. Between candles, beauty products, games, books, jewelry, and more. There’s something for everyone (including yourself if self-care is your V-Day MO this year).

Even though the prospect of the U.K will still be in lockdown by the time the chikka-wow – wow day arrives. Keep scrolling for the lovely Valentine’s Day ideas that’ll actually get some use in 2021.

Self Care

Let’s kick start with the obvious great lockdown valentines gift self-care! Taking- care of ourselves in paramount for every day life! It’s normal around this time of year after Christmas. We would be booking into see our stylist getting that fresh root touch up or trim ready for date night. These hair care loves are a great idea to give someone that magic salon feel at home.

I particularly love silk scrunches. They are a lot kinder to your hair when using something to tie up. And make such a beautiful gift to any loved one in your life.

If you would normally be treating your significant other to a spa weekend away! Set up your bathroom or bedroom as a pamper treatment room with your partners favourite spa products. Facials, moisturising cream, vitamin c capsules. These are all great ideas to get a pamper sesh at home.

Im obsessed with this rose quartz facial tool. Facial rolling is an age-old technique used to sculpt features and stimulate lymphatic drainage. This Omorovicza’s double-ended tool is made from rose quartz that cools skin, boosts circulation and reduces puffiness. Use it alone or with your usual skincare products – the roller provides optimum absorption without absorbing moisturizers or oils. The smaller end is perfect for hard-to-reach places like under the eyes.

Let’s not forget the guys in our lives with their very own self care pamper kits.

Candles are such a great gift for anyone on any occasion. I am also a big fan of fragrance sprays and reeds. Set the romantic ambiance around your home with a great candle. Or perhaps send a relaxing room fragrance for someone deserving to relax.

I think it’s safe to say elevated lounge-ware, is here to stay. With winter still in full force and the weather not to get any warmer for a few months yet. There is nothing better than slipping onto to something snuggly. Check out this ultimate cosy night in gift set from ASOS

Fitness wear or equipment is another great gift that won’t just be something we will all be using at home. But long after lockdown too. Why not get that your valentines gift recipient something new for their home works outs. Or kit them out with something new ready for when the gyms reopen again.

Due to not being able to whisk your beloveded away on that romantic get away. You may be thinking of broaden the V. pressy budget this year. You can not go wrong with a small card wallet or some new earrings!

Something different.

Think outside the box a little with some homeware, a book or even a puzzle. Tech Ideas are always a great option especially for those who are WFH or are home schooling. This wireless charging station. A small and sleek design of Native Union’s ‘Drop’ wireless charger. It is perfect for a small workspace or home office. Made from aircraft-grade aluminum with silicone treads, it keeps the phone in place and prevents it from overheating while boosting that all important charge speed. The feature I most love: you don’t have to go through the hassle of taking your case off to use it.

Whom ever your purchasing for to make February 14 special my little gift collection would suit any loved ones needs through lockdown and beyond. Providing you with options to be a real life Casanova ;). If gifting a gift isn’t what you would normally gravitate too but do like to celebrate it somehow. Perhaps surprise someone cooking their favourite meal. Or check out Marks and Spenser dine for two range. They have some incredible easy to make cuisine options, which come with a bottle of bubbles.

Alternatively, if you want to shop local? Most restaurants are opening up for takeaway and providing a delivery initiative. Curating their valentines special menus in their restaurants kitchen, but delivering them straight to your door. If you have a restaurant that you always go to for your romantic meal for two, maybe give them a call or check out their website and see if they are providing this service. You would be helping them as a business. And you also still create that valentines moment in the comfort of your home. So all though valentines day is going to be slightly different this year.

If you’re a singleton, or in a long distance relationship? Utilise zoom or any video calling options to set up a date night. You can still have that speed date and use a restaurant delivery services. Send someone a bunch of flowers, I love Bloom&Wild as they have beautiful from bouques to letterbox options.

Remember with a little thought, effort and creativity. You can create something quite spectacular! And in the process of doing so, it could be the most romantic gesture yet!
